Financial Solutions Advisor II

The Financial Solutions Advisor II (FSA II) employee will create an efficient and meaningful member experience in the branch, fulfilling Financial One Credit Union's mission to improve the financial well-being and peace of mind of our members and others within the communities we serve. This position is responsible for serving members with all transactions; teller transactions, opening share accounts and processing & underwriting loan requests. This role is responsible for making decisions that best serve the members while balancing the needs of the credit union.

The Financial Solutions Advisor will:

  • Act as the face of the credit union and first point of contact for members within the branch
  • Provide quality service to members and potential members
  • Possess basic knowledge of all lending products with the ability to prepare, underwrite and disburse loans within lending limits and credit union guidelines
  • Comply with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC (funds availability), Regulation DD (TIS) and other regulations as required by law as it relates to his/her position
  • Represent the credit union in a professional manner while working with members and potential members
  • Handle all types of teller transactions with accuracy and courtesy, while maintaining privacy and security
  • Fulfill member requests for products and services while looking for ways to grow member relationships and accomplish credit union mission and objectives
  • Act as liaison to Business Solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / some college preferred
  • Two or more years of customer service and basic lending experience in the banking/financial industry
  • Basic computer operating skills
  • Beginner to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Type a minimum of 35 words per minute preferred
  • Ability to answer heavy volume of incoming phone calls

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds
  • Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; is able to reach with hands and arms; is able to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Must be able to read from a computer screen and enter data with the use of a keyboard

Working Conditions:

  • Stress varies depending on member traffic from high to low
  • Some overtime may be required
  • Working some Saturdays is required
  • Must be flexible with scheduling to cover open shifts at all offices
  • Some travel between offices may be required
